365 days

This is a pretty exciting time in my life. I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary with Athens Church. That statement is hard to believe, but it's true.
In light of this fact, God recently helped me to reflect on some of what He has done in these brief days. The list is incredibly long, but it includes an office, volunteers, worshippers, givers, staff, people who believe in us, a web site, a great community group, a really cool neighborhood with neighbors we enjoy, and there is so much more. God used this great reminder to illustrate to me that He is in this venture and it's His church, so He will provide for it's needs. I'm just incredibly honored to be in this city, with this team, and most importantly with my family - partnering with the God of life and love. I'm living a dream!

Jason - i thought this was really cool that God allowed you to interact with this guy. I appreciate your honesty in confessing your fear to share courageously. I also value with you the thought of a homosexual viewing believers positively. You helped us all with your attitude.
Wouldn't it be cool if God continued to teach us how to share his incredible message of grace with those in interpersonal settings in a way that would let them see our heart for them. I truly believe this is possible, but I admit as well that I often haven't had the courage to give it a try.
Either way, it's a blessing to know God is the One in control in spite of our wimpiness.
You're a good man.
